About Me
NJ Licensed Psychologist # 35S100545500
I specialize in integrating psychology, contemplative wisdom, and intuitive approaches to support deep emotional, energetic, and personal transformation.
I earned my doctoral degree in 2012 from the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology at Rutgers University. My work is informed by Existential-Humanistic Psychology, Transpersonal Psychology, Personal Construct Theory, and Energy Psychology, all of which share a focus on human potential, meaning-making, resilience, and transformation. I also utilize the frameworks of Mind-Body Medicine and Polyvagal Theory which support client regulation in the session and beyond.
In addition to my doctoral training, I have pursued advanced study in complementary healing modalities and integrate these approaches thoughtfully and ethically when appropriate, with the goal of empowering clients to activate their own innate healing abilities in a grounded and sustainable way. When our healing goal transcends symptom relief and encompasses energetic balance, we are able to live more aligned, expansive, and internally resourced lives.
Prior to working in private practice, I worked as a school psychologist within the educational system and held roles in business management. These experiences broadened my perspective, allowing me to understand the pressures that often accompany high-functioning, high-responsibility roles.
My early professional work focused on children’s social-emotional development, including several years leading a girls’ empowerment program, conducting research on self-efficacy and social-emotional competence, and publishing for educators. Those experiences continue to influence the way I understand emotional regulation, resilience, identity, and lifelong human development.
Across all settings, I have consistently integrated empowerment and transformation into the way I lead and support others.
My work is best suited for individuals who are ready to move beyond surface-level insight and engage in deep, meaningful transformation on both the emotional and energetic levels.
In my clinical experience, I have found that our bodies often carry the imprint of our experiences. By being conscious of shifts within the body, we can hear its wisdom. Slight activations in the body can give us clues to what needs to be seen more deeply. Our bodies hold imprints from our past that can get reactivated in the now.
Through a combination of energetic release, exploring the personal constructs that currently shape our worldview, and analyzing the patterns of our lives, we find the meaning of the emotional experience. Together, we are able to find the wisdom in the pain.
When I help clients to finally see the patterns, they hold the power. The power of no longer being defined by what has held them back, but instead being defined by the choices they make now, to align with who they truly are. When clients’ perspectives expand, they can see more options available to them. They gain a deeper awareness that allows them to reshape their lives. Once clients become anchored in their new found clarity, the rest of their path usually unfolds more easily.
My work is also informed by the perspective that human beings are more than the sum of their thoughts, emotions, and life circumstances. I believe there is a deeper dimension to our experience that can offer valuable insight into meaning, purpose, and personal growth. From this perspective, we can hold more self-compassion for ourselves and our experience. Transcendental reflections can connect us with truths about ourselves and our spiritual nature. Through taking a higher vantage point of our lives, we see the evolution of who we are; a beautiful spiral- ever expanding. This is the essence of my healing perspective which is embedded in all of my psychological services.
Through the trials and tribulations of my own life, I understand not just the beauty of transformation, but the disorientation and discomfort that can come with it. I have walked this path, and anything I ask my clients to do within their healing journeys, are things I have already done for myself. Through experience, I learned that with each hurdle we overcome, with each step of growth, we also feel more aligned with who we are. This work cultivates a deep sense of confidence and self-trust. Because I have moved through this process myself, I am able to hold space for others in a way that is both grounded and deeply intuitive.
It is an honor to do this work, and I approach it with both deep respect and intention. I hold this space with care, depth, and a commitment to meaningful, lasting transformation.
Beyond the Psychological Session
I am a mother of 2 children whose growth and development continually deepen my appreciation for the complexity of human development, emotional regulation, and the unique path each individual follows through life. My marriage has been one of my greatest teachers, continually reminding me that growth, self-awareness, and authenticity must exist alongside commitment, accountability, connection.
I love traveling and hiking with my family. Enjoying the beauty and vastness of nature always puts me in a place of awe. I also love reading, a good cup of tea, and dark chocolate.
